Flying to Saint-Tropez by helicopter
About 20 minutes, against about 1 hour 45 minutes or more by car. Monacair and Héli Sécurité publish fares from €2,100 for the whole helicopter from Nice, €1,700 from Cannes and €2,200 from Monaco (indicative, 19 October 2026). Flights land at Héli Sécurité's heliport in Grimaud, at a dedicated landing zone, or at La Môle airport (LFTZ), about 15 km from the village.
Monacair says that in July and August the D98 coast road into Saint-Tropez backs up for hours.
Héli Sécurité, founded in 1992 and part of the Monacair group, has a base in Saint-Tropez and runs its own heliport in Grimaud, which Blade places just minutes from the village and port. Blade sells flights on the route through its alliance with both companies.
La Môle - Saint-Tropez airport takes helicopters as well as aeroplanes, but it is a restricted-use aerodrome with tighter rules for jets.

Where helicopters land around Saint-Tropez
Héli Sécurité's own heliport, minutes from the village and port, and the main landing point for Saint-Tropez flights. Several landing zones are used to get you closer to your destination.
About 15 km south-west of Saint-Tropez, at 18 m elevation. Helicopters may use it; Héli Sécurité and Monacair use it as the alternative, with a chauffeur to the village, the port or Pampelonne.
Blade offers transfers to a yacht helipad in the bay.

What changes in summer
- At La Môle, flights to or from countries outside the Schengen area are allowed only between 1 July and 15 October. Schengen flights need 24 hours' notice and a general declaration.
- La Môle bans training circuits from 14 July to 31 August, except for pilots training for the airport's own approval, and opens longer hours from April to October.
- La Môle is a restricted-use aerodrome and closes when its runway is contaminated; its wind limits do not apply to helicopters.
- At Cannes, the nearest harbour heliport, prior notice rises to 1 hour in July and August.
- Monacair notes that road access can become unpredictable at peak summer weekends and during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez regatta. Book helicopters early for those dates.

What goes into a helicopter price in France
A private helicopter is priced for the whole aircraft and its pilot, per flight, not per seat.
- Flying time at the hourly rate for the type: as a guide, €1,420 to €4,130 per flight hour for the whole helicopter.
- Positioning when the helicopter is based away from your pickup point, out to you and back to base.
- Landing, handling and parking at the heliport or airport. At Monaco, handling must be requested before arrival.
- Waiting time if the helicopter holds for you during the day.
- On the Riviera and in the Alps, Monacair and Héli Sécurité publish indicative "from" fares per helicopter for set routes; the final quote depends on date, type and passengers.

Check the operator holds a French air operator certificate
- A paid passenger flight in France must be flown by an operator holding an air operator certificate (certificat de transporteur aérien, CTA). The DGAC, France's civil aviation authority, publishes the list of helicopter operators with a valid CTA.
- The company selling the seat or the charter is not always the operator. Ask who operates the flight and check the name on the DGAC list.
- Each heliport sets its own conditions: Paris Issy-les-Moulineaux requires crews to be trained on the site, and Monaco limits night flights to pilots with a local qualification.
- As a broker, Altivo Jets names the operator and its certificate before you book.
