Flying private to the big French events
Five events between May and June, then the Arc in October. Parking at Nice, helicopter seats and Le Bourget in Air Show week go first, so plan when the dates are fixed.

How event travel works in France
For Cannes and Monaco, jets land at Nice Côte d'Azur and a helicopter of about seven minutes finishes the trip. For Roland-Garros and the Arc, jets land at Paris Le Bourget and a car does the last leg. For Le Mans, turboprops land at Le Mans-Arnage, about 3 km from the circuit. During the Paris Air Show, Le Bourget itself is restricted and many flights use Pontoise, Charles de Gaulle, Orly or Albert-Picardie.
The Riviera hosts the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix within a few weeks, and Nice airport does not reset between them. Roland-Garros ends on the Monaco weekend, Le Mans follows a week later, and the Paris Air Show opens the day after the race finishes.
On the Riviera and in Paris, the jet leg is the easy part. Parking, slot approvals and transfers are what run out, so each event page sets out the airports, the last leg and the rules that applied at the last edition.

France Galop has not announced the 2027 Arc date yet; the 2026 race was on Sunday 4 October. Session times are confirmed nearer each event.

When Nice runs out of parking
Nice Côte d'Azur is open 24 hours and slot coordinated all year, and parking fills early in May and June. Cannes-Mandelieu is closer to Cannes but takes aircraft up to 35,000 kg only, with no overtime, so it is not an automatic overflow for Nice.
Planners list Toulon, Marseille and Le Castellet as alternates, and Genoa works well for trips focused on Monaco. We confirm parking before anything else and build the alternate into the quote.

How early should I book for Cannes or Monaco?+
As soon as your dates are fixed. Parking at Nice fills early in festival and race weeks, and late slot requests do not get priority.
What does a light jet cost in France?+
Light jets charter at about €4,130 to €6,490 per flight hour for the whole aircraft, before airport, parking and handling charges.
Which airport is closest to the Le Mans circuit?+
Le Mans-Arnage, about 3 km from the circuit. It suits turboprops, small jets and helicopters; larger jets use Angers or Tours.
Can I fly into Le Bourget during the Paris Air Show?+
Only with planning. At the 2025 show, Le Bourget closed to aeroplanes during the flying displays, parking was reserved for show aircraft and based operators, and crews needed accreditation. Many visitors used Pontoise, Charles de Gaulle, Orly or Albert-Picardie.
