How the trip works
Nice Côte d'Azur is the default: it is open 24 hours and takes every size of jet. Cannes-Mandelieu, about 5 km from the Croisette, suits smaller jets up to 35,000 kg. From Nice, a helicopter reaches Cannes in about seven minutes.
The festival runs for eleven days, so demand at Nice stays high for the whole fortnight. Road transfers from Nice to Cannes take 30 to 45 minutes on paper and longer in festival week.
Nice is slot coordinated all year and request volumes rise during the festival. Late requests do not get priority, so slots and parking are booked with the jet, not after it.
Cannes-Mandelieu is a business and general aviation airport close to the Croisette. It has its own procedures, no overtime and a 35,000 kg weight ceiling, which rules out the largest jets. See our Cannes page for routes and estimates.

Nice to Cannes in festival week
About seven minutes from Nice airport. Blade lists a private Airbus H130 for up to six from €1,000 for the whole cabin.
Private charters land at the Cannes heliport on the Quai du Large or at Cannes-Mandelieu. Shared by-the-seat flights during events use the heliport only.
