Terms of use
Please read these terms before you use this website or book a charter through Altivo Jets. They explain our role as a charter broker, how quotes and bookings work, and the responsibilities of everyone involved.
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website, our chat and contact forms, your Altivo Jets account, and when you ask us to arrange a charter. The website is run by Altivo Jets. By using the site or asking for a quote you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. Your charter agreement for a specific trip also applies, and if it conflicts with these terms, the charter agreement wins for that trip.
2. Our role: we are a charter broker, not an airline
Altivo Jets is an air charter broker. It is not a direct air carrier or a direct foreign air carrier in operational control of aircraft, and the air service advertised on this website is provided by a properly licensed direct air carrier or direct foreign air carrier.
- In India, every flight is operated by the holder of a DGCA Non-Scheduled Operator Permit. A charter is for the whole aircraft; we do not sell individual seats on charter flights.
- In the United States, every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 or Part 121 air carrier, or a properly licensed foreign air carrier, that holds operational control of the aircraft. We arrange charters under the US Department of Transportation rules for air charter brokers (14 CFR Part 295).
- Unless your charter agreement says otherwise, Altivo Jets acts as your agent in arranging the charter with the operator.
3. Information and estimates on this website
Prices on this website, in the chat and in the cost calculator are estimates to help you plan. They are not offers and they do not reserve an aircraft. Flight times are estimates for typical conditions. Aircraft photos show the type, not necessarily the aircraft you will fly. Operator and fleet information comes from public registers and the operators themselves; it can change and we do not guarantee that any aircraft is available.
4. Quotes and bookings
- A quote names the operating carrier (its corporate name and any trade name), the aircraft type, the itinerary and the total price including the taxes and fees we know about.
- A booking is confirmed only when you accept a quote in writing, sign the charter agreement and make the payment it requires. Until then the aircraft is not held for you.
- If the operating carrier cannot be named when you sign, we will tell you as soon as it is known and before the flight. If you do not accept that carrier, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
- On request we will tell you about any business relationship we have with the operator, the full price including taxes and fees, and any third-party fees you pay directly.
5. Prices, taxes and payment
Prices are for the whole aircraft. In India, GST is shown as a separate line on the quote and invoice. In the United States, the federal excise tax and segment fees apply to most flights and are included in the quoted total. Positioning flights, crew overnight stays, waiting time, de-icing, airport, parking and handling charges are either included in the quote or listed as extras before you sign. The payment schedule for each trip is set out in the charter agreement. We do not take payment for a trip before the operator has confirmed the aircraft.
6. Changes and cancellations
Cancellation charges and refund terms are set out in your charter agreement before you sign. Our cancellation and refund policy explains how refunds work, including when a flight cannot be operated.
7. Safety and operational control
The operator and the pilot in command make all decisions about the safety and conduct of the flight. They may delay, divert or cancel a flight, or refuse to carry a passenger or item, for weather, technical, air traffic, regulatory or safety reasons. Helicopter flights in hill and pilgrimage areas are especially subject to weather and government restrictions on flying hours.
8. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate names, dates of birth and identity document details for every passenger, matching the documents they will carry.
- Carry valid identity documents, passports, visas and health documents required for the trip.
- Arrive at the time the operator asks. Late arrival can cause the flight to be delayed, shortened or cancelled at your cost.
- Follow the operator's limits on baggage weight and size, and the rules on dangerous goods. Passengers and baggage may be weighed, especially on helicopters.
- Follow crew instructions. The crew may refuse to carry anyone who is intoxicated, disruptive or a risk to safety.
- Children must travel with a parent or guardian, and pets only where the operator agrees in advance.
9. Empty legs
Empty-leg flights depend on another customer's trip. The operator may change the time or route, or cancel the empty leg, if that trip changes. If an empty leg you booked is cancelled by the operator, you receive a full refund of what you paid for it, and we will try to offer you an alternative.
10. Kedarnath, Char Dham and other shuttle tickets
Altivo Jets does not sell seats on government-run helicopter shuttles such as the Kedarnath and Char Dham shuttles. In Uttarakhand, those seats are sold only through the official IRCTC HeliYatra portal (heliyatra.irctc.co.in). We arrange private charters of a whole helicopter. Fake websites and social media pages sell shuttle tickets that do not exist; if you are targeted, report it at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
11. Insurance
Altivo Jets does not hold liability insurance that covers passengers or aircraft. The operating carrier's insurance applies to your flight, and the carrier's policy details are available on request before you sign.
12. Our liability
The operating carrier is responsible for the flight. Its liability for passengers, baggage and delay is governed by its conditions of carriage and the applicable law, including international conventions where they apply. We are responsible for arranging your charter with reasonable care and skill.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as missed events or business losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away your rights as a consumer.
13. Using this website and your account
- Keep your sign-in methods secure and tell us if you think your account has been used without your permission.
- Do not copy or scrape the site, overload it, misuse the chat or forms, or submit false information.
- We may suspend accounts or block access that breaks these rules or puts the service or other users at risk.
- The text, design and data on this site belong to us or our licensors. Aircraft and destination photos are used under the licences listed on our photo credits page.
- Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
14. Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live. Please raise any complaint with us first through our grievance redressal process. In India you may also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915). In the United States you may also file a complaint with the US Department of Transportation's Office of Aviation Consumer Protection.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will show the new date at the top of this page. The terms in force when you sign a charter agreement apply to that trip.
