How event travel works in Brazil
Yes. Terravista, the airstrip for Trancoso, ran out of landing slots and overnight parking from 26 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. In São Paulo, Congonhas needs a slot for every movement, and the organisers name an official helicopter partner for flights to Interlagos.
Each of these events squeezes a small number of airports. The trips that work are booked once the dates are fixed, with the airport, the parking and the last leg agreed together.
For the Grand Prix, a jet lands at a São Paulo airport and a helicopter covers the last 10 minutes to Interlagos. For Réveillon in Trancoso, jets and turboprops fly into Terravista or Porto Seguro. For Carnival, Rio's Santos Dumont sits beside the city centre.
Parintins has no road link to the rest of Brazil, so the trip runs through Manaus and the island's 1,801 m runway. Barretos has its own airport and two heliports inside the rodeo park. Lollapalooza uses the same São Paulo airports as the Grand Prix.

When are the Rio Carnival parades in 2027?+
The Grupo Especial parades at the Sambadrome run on Sunday 7, Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 February 2027, with the Champions' Parade on 13 February.
How early should I book for Réveillon in Trancoso?+
As early as you can. For the 2025 to 2026 season, Terravista had no landing slots or overnight parking left from 26 December to 4 January.
When is the Parintins Festival in 2027?+
The 2027 dates have not been announced yet. The 2026 festival ran from 26 to 28 June, and the 2025 festival from 27 to 29 June.
When is the Barretos rodeo in 2027?+
The 72nd Festa do Peão de Barretos runs from 19 to 29 August 2027 at the Parque do Peão.
What does an event charter cost?+
Light jets in Brazil charter at about R$23.550 to R$37.030 per flight hour and helicopters at about R$8.070 to R$23.550, for the whole aircraft, before airport and handling fees.
