How the trip works
Fly to AlUla International Airport (OEAO), which is open 24 hours and has a business aviation hangar and FBO. The town is about 25 minutes by road; the polo is played at the Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Equestrian Village.
AlUla International sits about 200 miles (320 km) north of Medina, about 25 minutes by road from AlUla town.
The fifth edition in January 2026 had six teams playing nine matches over two days, after a team presentation on 15 January. The Royal Commission for AlUla organises the event, which first ran in 2020.
Alliance Aviation opened a purpose-built hangar and FBO at the airport in October 2025. It can hold two Gulfstream G650s at once, plus a Challenger 650 or two light jets.

What to know before you fly into Saudi Arabia
- Landing permits from the General Authority of Civil Aviation are required for all private and charter flights, with a minimum lead time of 72 hours. Your operator files them with full crew and passenger details.
- Jeddah (OEJN), Riyadh (OERK) and Dammam (OEDF) are 24-hour airports of entry; Jeddah and Riyadh have FBOs and full services.
- Alcohol on board must be sealed in a locked, numbered bar before arrival and stay sealed on the ground. Expect full aircraft searches.
- Saudi Arabia lifted cabotage restrictions in May 2025.
