Flying in for the festival
Toronto Pearson (CYYZ), the main airport for private jet arrivals, about 20 minutes from downtown and open 24 hours. Billy Bishop, beside downtown, bans jet aircraft except medevac flights, so it only suits approved propeller aircraft.
The 2026 festival ran for 11 days, with TIFF Lightbox on King Street West as its main venue. In 2026 it overlapped with the end of the Venice Film Festival, which ran until 12 September.
Pearson has four business aviation FBOs: Execaire, Signature Aviation and two Skyservice terminals. Skyservice Toronto South is reserved for aircraft that Skyservice manages.
Billy Bishop is open 06:45 to 23:00 and is reached on foot by a free 240 m tunnel from Eireann Quay. Jets are banned under the 1983 Tripartite Agreement, so check any turboprop against the airport's rules before you book. See private jet charter in Toronto for more.
