How the trip works
At Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), whose general aviation terminal sits in Service Area North, near the access road to Terminal 1. The airport is about 18 km south-east of the centre, about 20 minutes by Autobahn.
The Berlinale sold 350,000 tickets in 2026 and accredited about 19,500 industry professionals. Its main venue, the Berlinale Palast, is on Potsdamer Platz.
The 2027 festival opens a day earlier than before and runs for 12 days, with the awards ceremony on Friday 19 February and the first two audience days on 20 and 21 February.
BER's general aviation terminal was refurbished and reopened in September 2023, run by a joint venture of ExecuJet and Berlin Aviation Services. BER's two runways take everything from light aircraft to airliners. See private jet charter to Berlin for the airport.
