How the trip works
Munich Airport (EDDM), about 28 km north-east of the city, has a dedicated general aviation terminal open 06:00 to 22:00. Oberpfaffenhofen, about 22 km south-west, handles only general and business aviation.
The 2026 Wiesn drew about 7.4 million visitors, a record. The airport is rarely the problem; the traffic and hotels in the city are.
Munich Airport is slot-coordinated, so request a slot as soon as your schedule is known. Oberpfaffenhofen and Nuremberg are the alternates for parking. The general aviation terminal is on the east side of the airport and is not served by public transport, so book a car.
