Kedarnath and Badrinath by helicopter
A same-day Do Dham trip from Dehradun costs about ₹1.1 lakh to ₹1.25 lakh per person in a shared helicopter. Pawan Hans charters a whole Bell 407 or AS350 B3 for ₹7.04 lakh for up to five passengers and 300 kg. Three-day packages with two nights cost about ₹1.35 lakh to ₹1.4 lakh per person.
Do Dham is the two-shrine yatra: Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, and Badrinath, one of the four Char Dham. By helicopter both fit into one day.
Same-day trips leave Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun early in the morning, change to the shuttle at Phata or Sersi for Kedarnath, fly on to Badrinath and return by early afternoon. Pawan Hans's published plan is back in Dehradun at about 2:05 PM.
Three-day trips add a night near each shrine, which leaves time for the evening aarti and a slower darshan.

A same-day Do Dham, step by step
- 01Sahastradhara
Report early at the Dehradun helipad for the weigh-in. Bags are limited to 2 kg.
- 02Phata or Sersi
Change to the Kedarnath shuttle, as government rules require for charters.
- 03Kedarnath
Darshan, with VIP darshan on most packages, then back to the valley helipad.
- 04Badrinath
Fly to Badrinath helipad, about 1 km from the temple, for darshan.
- 05Back to Dehradun
Return by early afternoon; Pawan Hans's plan lands at about 2:05 PM.

Rules and safety for 2026
- Body weight of about 75 kg per person is assumed; the whole-helicopter option allows 300 kg in total.
- Bags are limited to about 2 kg each on same-day trips.
- Children over two pay the full fare.
- Flights run from sunrise to sunset, with 30% fewer Kedarnath shuttles than before 2025.
- Helicopters carry trackers and fly under ATC at Sahastradhara and Sersi.
- Keep a spare day: weather in the valleys can hold flights for hours.
