Overview

Flying in for the festival

Which airport should I fly into for the Montreal jazz festival?

Montréal-Trudeau (CYUL), 20 km west of the city, is open 24 hours, is an airport of entry and has four FBOs. Montréal Saint-Hubert (CYHU), on the south shore, is a quieter business aviation airport of entry about 20 minutes from downtown.

Tourisme Montréal describes the festival as more than 350 concerts and 3,000 artists, with more than 2 million people attending. About two-thirds of the programme is free, on outdoor stages around the Place des Festivals.

The free outdoor shows need no planning beyond getting downtown. The ticketed concerts sell quickly, so book those seats before you fix the flight. The 2026 festival ran on the same calendar dates, 25 June to 4 July.

If you stay several nights, ask whether your aircraft will wait in Montreal or reposition between legs; we quote both. See private jet charter in Montreal for the city's airports.
