What will your flight cost?
Air Passenger Duty included; any VAT on the quote.
Select an aircraft to request it.
Examples only, subject to availability. The exact aircraft depends on which operators have one free on your dates.
Estimates use great-circle distance between the main private aviation airports, typical cruise speeds, 0.3 hours for taxi and climb, fuel stops where range requires, and current hourly ranges. Your quote confirms the aircraft, positioning, airport fees and taxes.
What goes into a charter price.
A charter is priced for the whole aircraft. The calculator takes the distance between the two airports, adds taxi and climb time and any fuel stops, and multiplies the flight time by the hourly rate for each jet size. Short hops are billed at a minimum of 1.5 hours.
Rates come from CAA-certified operators, sourced and checked by Altivo Jets. In the UK, Air Passenger Duty from £32 per departing passenger is included (larger jets pay a higher rate), and VAT is added only where a UK domestic flight attracts it. The result is a range because two aircraft of the same size can differ in age, cabin and where they are based.
For example, London to Paris is about 186 nautical miles, roughly 0h 45m in a light jet, which puts a one-way trip at about £5.3k to £8.3k.

Estimates for 4 passengers on the main airports, before positioning and airport charges. Your quote is the price that counts.
Five things that move a quote.
- Positioning. If the nearest suitable aircraft is based elsewhere, the flying time to reach you and return home is usually charged.
- One way or return. A same-day return can avoid empty positioning; a multi-day trip adds crew overnight costs.
- Dates. Holidays, festival weekends and big events raise demand, and some operators price peak dates higher.
- Airports. Landing, parking and handling charges differ by airport, and some busy airports need slots.
- Extras. Catering, ground transport and special requests are quoted separately and listed before you sign.

Charter cost questions
Still deciding? A charter specialist will talk you through aircraft, airports and price, with no obligation.
Ask a specialistHow accurate is the private jet cost calculator?+
It gives a planning range, not a quote. It uses the straight-line distance between the main airports, typical cruise speeds for each jet size and Altivo Jets' current hourly rates, with a minimum of 1.5 billable hours per trip. Your quote is for your exact dates, aircraft and routing, including positioning and airport charges.
How much does a private jet cost per hour in the UK?+
For the whole aircraft, before taxes: light jets £3.5k to £5.5k, heavy jets £9k to £14k, with turboprops, midsize and super-midsize jets in between. The price is per aircraft, not per seat, so the cost per person falls as your group grows.
Why is a one-way flight not half the price of a return?+
If the aircraft has to fly back to its base empty, that positioning time is usually charged. A return trip on the same aircraft can avoid it, and so can an empty leg that is already flying your way.
Are taxes included in the estimate?+
UK estimates include Air Passenger Duty at the standard short-haul rate of £32 per departing passenger. Jets of 20 tonnes or more pay the higher rate (from £142 short-haul), and VAT applies only to some UK domestic flights. Both are itemised on your quote.
What else can change the final price?+
Positioning the aircraft to your departure airport, overnight crew costs on multi-day trips (typically about £900 per night), airport landing and handling charges, peak dates, catering and any special requests. Every item is listed on the quote before you sign.
Can I book from the calculator?+
Yes. Send the trip from the calculator and a specialist replies with aircraft options, the operator's name and an all-in price, around the clock.
