Private jet to the Venice Biennale

How the trip works
Fly to Venice Marco Polo (LIPZ), a 24-hour airport of entry with a general aviation terminal open 06:00 to 22:00, then take a water taxi across the lagoon. Prior permission is required, and in summer 2026 Marco Polo allowed quick turns only from May to September.
The Biennale opens in May and runs for six months, so most private visitors fly in for the preview days or a short stay. The rule that shapes the trip is parking: in season, Marco Polo is a drop-off airport.
If the jet must wait for you, plan for it to reposition. Treviso (LIPH), about 30 minutes' drive from Venice, and Trieste (LIPQ), about 60 to 90 minutes, both take general aviation with prior permission; Milan Linate, about 2.5 hours by road, suits larger aircraft that need longer parking.
The exhibition runs across the Giardini and the Arsenale, open 10:00 to 18:00 and closed on Mondays. The 2027 curators are Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu. See private jet charter to Venice for the airports.

How to plan a Biennale trip
- 01Pick your days
Preview days are 6 and 7 May 2027 and the public opening is 8 May. The venues close on Mondays.
- 02Request permission early
Marco Polo needs prior permission 24 to 48 hours ahead at least, and the permission sets how long the aircraft may stay.
- 03Plan the drop-off
From May to September in 2026, Marco Polo allowed quick turns only, so the jet drops you and repositions to Treviso, Trieste or Milan.
- 04Book the water taxi
The water taxi terminal is just outside the general aviation facilities at Marco Polo.
