Overview

Getting to the Autódromo

Where do private jets land for the Mexico City Grand Prix?

At Toluca (MMTO), a 24-hour airport of entry. Mexico City International is mainly for scheduled airlines and head-of-state flights, and general aviation access there is very hard to arrange. From Toluca the drive into Mexico City takes one and a half to two hours, depending on traffic.

The 2024 race set an attendance record of 404,958 over the weekend. That crowd shares the roads with you, and the jets share Toluca's ramp.

Parking at Toluca is at a premium on race weekend and overnight hangar space is in short supply, so book it with the aircraft. Some handlers park aircraft close together at peak times; ask about it.

Helicopters shorten the last leg. In 2025, shared seats from Santa Fe to a landing site near the circuit sold for about 22,760 pesos a person on the Saturday and Sunday. Mexico's aviation authority (AFAC) requires air taxi permits and approved landing zones, so book through a licensed operator.
