What counts as a 2 seater helicopter
None on charter in India has 2 seats. The smallest you can hire are the Airbus H125, Robinson R44, Robinson R66 and Airbus AS365 Dauphin, about ₹80,000 to ₹3 lakh per hour.
Operators count passenger seats, with the pilot extra. In everyday use a "2 seater" often includes the pilot, so this page lists helicopters that carry one or two passengers.
No 2-seat helicopter is on an Indian charter permit today. Two-seat helicopters such as the Robinson R22 are used mostly for pilot training and private flying; the smallest helicopters you can hire carry three passengers plus the pilot.
Seats are not the only limit. At high-altitude helipads such as Kedarnath, operators often fly fewer people than the seats fitted, because thin air cuts the weight a helicopter can lift. Every passenger and bag is weighed before boarding.
