Choose by passengers
One seat per passenger. Small helicopters such as the Robinson R44 take three passengers plus the pilot; the Bell 407 and Airbus H125 take five or six; twins such as the AW139 take up to about 15.
Seat counts are typical passenger seating for each model on the FAA Part 135 charter list (2 September 2026).
Charter is priced for the whole helicopter by the flight hour, so the best value is the smallest one that fits your group and bags in comfort.
Operators quote passenger seats, with the pilot extra. On hot days and at high elevations they may carry fewer people than the seats fitted.
