How helicopter arrivals work
Yes, to licensed landing sites near Worthy Farm. In 2025 the CAA counted 366 private helicopter movements, most at Windinglake Heliport in Evercreech. A temporary restricted zone surrounds the festival and only aircraft with permission may enter it.
Glastonbury is about the hardest UK festival to reach by road on the Wednesday and the Monday. A helicopter lands you near the site in minutes.
Restricted airspace has been set up around every Glastonbury since 1998. Entry needs police permission, and a pilot who flew in without it was fined £4,000 with £1,000 costs in 2017. That is why you book a licensed operator and a recognised landing site.
The organisers say they do not condone the use of helicopters. If you go, choose a shared or efficient aircraft and fly the shortest leg, for example from Bristol.

Where London helicopter trips start
Most London event flights leave from the London Heliport at Battersea, or from a business airport such as Farnborough, Biggin Hill or Oxford if you are flying in by jet first. Twin-engine helicopters such as the Leonardo AW109 are the usual choice for race days, because they seat five or six and fly the London routes that single-engine types cannot.
Helicopter charter in the UK runs at about £1,200 to £3,500 per flight hour for the whole aircraft, before positioning and landing fees. Event days carry waiting time and landing slots, so ask for an all-in price.
