How the trip works
Kishangarh Airport (VIKG), about 40 to 45 km from Pushkar, with a 2,000 m runway and published hours of 09:30 to 18:00 IST, Monday to Friday. Larger jets use Jaipur International (VIJP), about 150 km from Pushkar, with a road transfer.
The fair gathers camel and livestock traders on the banks of Pushkar Lake, with races and competitions, and builds to the holy bath on Kartik Purnima. In 2026 that falls on Tuesday 24 November. Pushkar is about 10 km from Ajmer.
Rajasthan Tourism describes a five-day fair between October and November but had not posted the 2026 programme when we checked on 19 October 2026; a news report gives 17 to 24 November. Tell us the day you want to be there and we confirm it against the official programme before we fly.
Kishangarh has served scheduled Q400 and ATR 72 flights since 2018 and suits turboprops and light jets; it has no customs and VOR/DME approaches only.
